Welcome to the shared web presence of the Cognitive Neurophysiology and Dynamical Neuroscience labs!

Integrating the knowledge and skills of medical doctors, neuroscientists, physicists and psychologists, we employ innovative analytic techniques in order to advance the knowledge of physiological and pathological network activity in the brain.

We use intracranial electrophysiological recordings in neurological patients, as well as non-invasive neuroimaging methods - such as functional magnetic resonance and diffusion tensor imaging - to study the neural signature of cognition and movement.


Based on an improved understanding of pathophysiological processes, we focus on the development of new therapeutic applications for neurological diseases. In particular, we are dedicated to advance the understanding of pathomechanisms of neurological diseases such as Parkinson's disease and epilepsy.
